We collect the personal data that you give us:
(i) via our Website, particularly when you use a contact form
We use your personal data (i.e. your surname, forenames, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, language, the city and country in which you live, your company name, its sector and the countries in which it operates, along with your position in your company) so that we can get back to you by phone, email or other means, with the most relevant information possible. However, we will never send commercial mass emailing to data subjects that did not explicitly subscribe to that.
The legal basis of this processing is the consent of the data subject. By submitting your information in our contact form, you agree that you send your personal data to us and know that we will process these personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Usually, items of personal data with an asterisk against them are mandatory. If this information is not provided, we shall not be able to get back to you about your request.
(ii) via our Website, particularly when you create an account and become a Member
We use your personal data (i.e. your username, email address) in order to create an account and to manage our customer base after.
This processing is necessary for the good performance of the contract to which you are a party or in order to take steps preparing this type of contract.
When you become a member, we may also use your personal data for direct marketing purposes (providing you with specific information that you have requested through our website, providing more general information about FOODIZ’s offering, sending you invitations for events, send you e-mails, newsletter). We will do it because of the contract between us. In that case, the legal basis is our legitimate interest.

(iii) via email when you want to become our “Brand Ambassador”

FOODIZ shall process your personal data only to the extent necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

In doing so, our sales team may process this personal data for the execution of their justified interest: trying to contact that personal to present FOODIZ’s offerings.
Data subjects that processed this way, will never receive any direct marketing communication from FOODIZ. Any data subject has the right to know all personal data we hold about him/her, have it rectified and completed, or have it erased from our records.
We keep your personal data for the period required to complete the activities for which it was gathered, but no longer than the limit stipulated by the applicable legislation.
If you are a member, we will keep your records for the duration of the contract between you or your company and us. If the contract is stopped, we will keep your records in our database for as long as legally required. You may request us to remove your personal data earlier. In that case, we will remove all personal data we have except the personal data we legally have to keep.
If you are not a member, we have to make decisions based on the information we receive. We will remove your record when we find out that the information in the record is no longer accurate and we are not able to rectify the errors. (For example, when we receive a “delivery failure” message on an e-mail.) We will also remove your record when you request us to do so. If we never hear anything from you or don't track any activity (website visits, clicks on e-mailings, personal contacts with our sales teams...) during a period of 5 years, your personal data will be removed.
If you are a job applicant, we will keep your resume and personal data in our system for 5 years starting the year following the year you applied for a job. You may request us to remove your personal data earlier.
In order to provide our services effectively, we may need to subcontract some tasks, in whole or in part, to technical subcontractors with whom we have entered into contracts (e.g. the subcontractors responsible for maintaining our infrastructure, IT security, hosting, marketing tools, and others).
So we may share personal data with third parties who perform data processing activities on our behalf.
FOODIZ requires its subcontractors to adhere to data protection legislation and to submit satisfactory guarantees on the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures. They are required to demonstrate that their processing system complies with current data protection legislation and that your rights are guaranteed.

8.2 Right of correction
You have the right to demand the correction, the completion or deletion of any personal data that is incorrect, inappropriate or no longer required by sending an e-mail tohello@foodiz.be or by sending a written request by post to FOODIZ’s registered office at Rue Dieudonné Lefèvre 17, 1020 Bruxelles. If you make such request, you will have to provide us with appropriate evidence of your identity.
Please note that you are at all times obliged to ensure that the personal data you send us is accurate.
8.3 Right to be forgotten
When you no longer want your personal data to be processed and you meet the conditions to invoke the right of deletion under data protection law, we shall delete your personal data from our database.
8.4 Right of portability
Where necessary, you also have the right to have your personal data transferred under the terms laid down in applicable data protection law.

FOODIZ can never be held liable for harm deemed to be indirect such as, without this list being exhaustive, loss of personal data, financial or commercial loss, loss of profits, increased general costs, or disruption of planning or scheduling.
Moreover, FOODIZ cannot be held liable for any harm arising from any unlawful manipulation of the personal data by third parties, such as personal data theft, introduction of viruses, hacking or any other IT malpractices.
We should also highlight the fact that links to our website may contain hypertext links and other references to other sites that we do not manage or control, to which these provisions do not apply. We are not responsible for the content of such websites or the offers, products or services that they contain.

All complaints, claims or grievances should be submitted to FOODIZ’s registered office.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
These provisions are to be governed, interpreted and fulfilled in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Belgian law alone shall apply in the event of disputes.
All disputes that cannot be settled amicably within a time limit of one month from their occurrence, unless this limit is extended by mutual agreement, may be brought by either party before the French language courts of Brussels. Those courts alone shall have jurisdiction.
