Payment
Why is my payment locked or blocked?
How Foodiz prevents double charges across devices, and when a provider is temporarily locked.
One payment at a time
Foodiz is available on web and mobile, and you may be signed in on both at once. To prevent double charges, only one payment can be in progress per account at any time. Concurrent attempts are handled first-in-first-out: the first payment to start goes through, the others have to wait.
Why a provider can get locked for 10 minutes
If the system detects repeated or conflicting payment attempts on the same method (for example, retrying on another device while a session is still open), that provider is temporarily blocked for 10 minutes. The lock releases automatically — you do not need to contact support.
Switching payment method unlocks faster
Picking a different payment method lifts the block and invalidates the previous session for Bancontact and credit cards. Meal voucher sessions (Edenred, Monizze, Pluxee) cannot be invalidated on our side — if a voucher session is stuck, the safest path is to wait out the 10-minute window and try again.
